And, quite frankly, these are still the old tried and true promotional methods that everyone should be using. These methods can be tedious, time-consuming, and take a lot of work. And that is exactly why 98% of people fail when trying to make it as an affiliate. It’s hard work.

One of the things that I stress when I’m training others on how to be successful online is NOT to lose focus on doing the things that work. We often get bombarded with emails offering the next great shiny thing that is going to take us to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And while we get distracted with that for awhile, the other things that we should be doing get booted to the wayside and our business suffers temporarily.

But every now and then something comes along that changes everything. And you usually know it when it happens. And you especially know it when someone makes a movie about it.

Social media, and especially Facebook, had to be added to the equation when it came to marketing methods that we, as affiliate marketers, should be using.
